Master your rhythm and musical freedom through improvisation
A class designed for intermediate and advanced tap dancers who want to deepen their
connection to rhythm, musicality, and personal expression. Rather than focusing on steps
or choreography, the class explores how you relate to sound, texture, and feeling through
improvisation. The aim is to open space for dancers to move more freely, expand their
musical awareness, and discover new possibilities in the way they use their body as a
musical instrument and a tool for self expression.
The session is largely based on improvisation. Through guided exercises around rhythm,
texture, and musicality, you will explore how to respond creatively in the moment and
develop greater freedom in your dancing. The goal is to leave you with a deeper sense of
ease and confidence in the way you approach tap as a form of expression.

CUTTING CONTEST

The cutting contest is an improv-based competition in which individual dancers must face off and perform on the spot to a set tempo while trying to impress a panel of judges and avoid getting cut. This time we will also count with live musicians accompanying the whole night! Prizes and scholarships will be awarded during this event.
